I learned about NSVs on the Compounded Semaglutide User Facebook Groups, and I love them. Celebrating them (and other wins and milestones) is an important step to reaching your goals.
NSV = Non-Scale Victories, i.e., the positive things that you are noticing on your journey, not specific to losing pounds. Watch this week’s video to learn why you need to celebrate your NSVs (and other wins and milestones).
Examples of NSVs:
- I can feel my hip bones better and spend too much time feeling them and enjoying it.
- One woman had to reset the face recognition on her phone when it stopped recognizing her slimmer face.
For goals not related to weight loss, there are equivalents to NSVs – small wins along the way or other milestones. You may wish to save a certain amount of money for a vacation. You aren’t adding to it as much as you’d like, but you are adding in a small way every week. Celebrate that you are saving, that you have consistently saved each week, that you’ve reached the amount to purchase plane tickets, etc.
Watch this video to get more information on why you need to celebrate NSVs and other wins and milestones.
Take Action!
🌸 Make a list of the NSVs, wins, milestones, etc., you achieved in the past week. Take a few minutes to feel the good feels, gratitude, joy, pride, etc., that you’ve achieved this! (Don’t let any negative thoughts creep in while you are doing this. If one does, address it and say, “Not today, demon!”}
